Restoration quality · ready to cookWhat is the deal with this skillet price? Well, some skillets are just in rarified air, and when you find them, they are usually priced as such. Wapak made just a few logo styles from the early 1900‘s until about 1926. Many patterns other than the Indian Logo were likely from Griswold‘s Erie patterns. However the ‘chicken foot" pattern, called as such because the P resembles a chicken's foot, was only made in this size and not many were made. Like the Erie Spider (made only in an 8) it is one sought after piece for collectors and chefs alike. Only the 8 was known to have been made, and is as rare as some of the more obscure Indian Head logos.
This piece comes from our personal collection, and we are selling it because we want to downsize a bit. It has been fully restored for the next cook in line. The cooking surface is in great condition, the logo is darn near perfect, and while it may have small imperfections as the Wapak skillets tend to have, it will be an amazingly smooth surface for you as its used.
DISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection. All pieces are vintage, and therefore are not in perfect condition. Their history of use means small marks and inconsistencies, including residual carbon, which we feel give them a special charm. All items are sold as is, and we have done our best to present them as such. Please review all pictures and ask for further clarification if needed. Thank you! - Cast & Clara Bell
