WOW! Hard to find 1910's era Lodge #8 Arc Logo Waffle Iron, Raised "8" on base. Matches raised arc logo skillets.
ABOUT THIS PIECE....
We absolutely LOVE this style waffle maker. People know the Lodge cast iron company for its brand and modern, heavier cast iron skillets. But did you know that way back, over 100 years ago, Lodge had a little seen line of Arc Logo (the Lodge name "arcs" over the piece) skillets, dutch ovens and waffle irons? Before they moved to the unmarked (no logo) designs, they produced the Arc Series, and we believe they are some of the finest ever made in American cast iron. This waffle iron was found in Ohio where it was covered in decades of dust. As we stripped it fully with our tanks, and began to clean it back to life, it became obvious that the waffle iron wasn‘t used as much as we thought. It was just sitting forever being unused! The base is more of a simple cast than some other models, but has no damage, but some flaws from the casting style at the time. It a charming piece and the paddles are in phenomenal shape. Don‘t miss out on this one of a kind!
