WOW! Gorgeous Fully Restored 1910's ERA Griswold made Alfred Andresen & Co. #8 Waffle Iron, Heart Shaped Design.
Alfred Andreson was a local "jobber" businessman in the greater Minneapolis area. He partnered with The Griswold Foundry Co. L, out of Erie, PA, to help produce a range of cast iron holloware. The waffle irons Griswold helped Andresen to make have a beautiful design that makes gorgeous waffles! This piece was claimed from a home in Chester Co. PA and was in pretty good shape for its age. The heart shape waffle paddles are reminiscent of the "Hearts and Star" premier Griswold piece. We LOVE ours and are sure youβll love having this piece in your kitchen or as a collectors piece!
IMPORTANT: In order to use this style iron, you need a very open area to flip them, such as on a campfire or elevated over a gas grill. They were made a long time ago when stove eyes were the option most available. So while its an amazing show piece, its important to know how its used in a non traditional sense.
DISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection. All pieces are vintage and therefore are not in perfect condition. Please use the photos as description. History of use means these pieces will have small marks and inconsistencies which we feel give them special charm. All items are sold as-is and we have done our best to present them as such. Please review all pictures and ask for further clarification if needed. Thank you! - Cast & Clara Bell
