This Swedish style Krumkake iron was a popular dessert or snack made with a decorative flair! Similar to Italian Pizzelleโs they make a light delicious treat. Cover them in powdered sugar, GREAT for holidays and dessert trays!
There is a debate over whether Griswold made these early patterns, because Andresen was not a manufacturer of cast iron, but was selling them as a brand. Later on itโs known that Griswold made a number of alternate brands along in its 50 year history, which included Alfred Andresenโs Minnesota based company. Later called the Western Foundry Co., they made holloware that included waffle irons and pizzelle makers. The base has the base marking on it. This is a flip style iron so you pour in the batter, cook it on one side, flip it over with a fork or utensil and then cook the other. Safe for the stove top AND the fire pit. You wont be able to use this effectively on glass or induction so be aware that this is best ONLY for gas. A fantastic decorative piece!

Let customers speak for us
from 367 reviewsI have been a Griswold collector for 20 + years. Always looking for a piece to add to my cookware cast iron. I donโt hang my pieces I use them daily. I picked up two pieces of Griswold cast iron specifically for breakfast dishes for myself. Couldnโt be more pleased with the seasoning and quality of the pieces and how accurate the item descriptions were. Not to mention the prices were exceptional for the quality. Take a gamble with EBay or get what you wanted from Cast & Clara Bell.
After going back and forth between a brand new cast iron skillet and a vintage piece, I finally decided on a Wagner from Cast and Clara Bell. I love the skillet. Itโs a beautiful piece. It shipped quickly and arrived packed so securely. I absolutely cannot wait to use it daily and have a quality piece I can hand down to my daughter someday. I will definitely be purchasing more.
Iโve bought 5 pieces from Cast and Clarabell and show them off to anyone that will give me the time of day. They are all heirloom pieces that I expect my grandchildren to brag about like I brag about my grandmotherโs skillet I have.
I bought a number seven Griswold pan, when I received it, it was well packaged and in great condition.
I gave it an additional two seasonings with grapeseed oil, and this thing is better than a Teflon pan as far as nonstick goes. I have several cast-iron pans, and this one is my favorite. Thanks to the casting Clara team for doing great work. I added a number seven lead that I already had to it.
I ordered an absolutely gorgeous Wagner "golf ball" brownie pan and it arrived beautifully restored and very well packaged. Before ordering, I had a question and received a prompt answer. You can't go wrong with the quality of Cast & Clara Bell cast iron and the care and love for vintage cast iron that they clearly demonstrate.
I absolutely love my first vintage cast iron skillet. Phil has been so helpful in answering my MANY questions, and is always happy to help in any way that he can. It's very clear that he takes pride in his work and is also just a kind human being. I look forward to being a lifelong customer of Cast & Clara Bell.
Iโve made two purchases and both were extremely well packed with care. Both purchases were exactly as described and perfectly prepared for use. The Wapak egg skillet is by far my favorite daily user!
Amazing piece of cast iron. Amazing restoration work by the Seller. The pan looks better than it did 120 years ago when it was made!! So impressed by this piece of cookware. My kids will be getting this beauty when my wife and I are dead and gone.
Nicely seasoned cast iron, very good packaging, and a nice note in the box all come together for a great buyer experience!
Absolutely beautiful piece. Restored to perfection. This is my new daily pan, better than my modern lodge! I ordered 3 different pans, and the packaging was perfect. Everything arrived safe and sound. Antique/vintage iron makes all the difference!! It's worth the investment. These pans will forever be a part of my kitchen, never going back to modern pans.
If you're looking into purchasing, look no further and make the switch to these beautiful restored options.
Mint condition vintage cast iron. Every piece is a work of art.
In great condition but with a unique personality!
Great seller! Packed with care and exactly as
described. My new daily egg skillet.
It is very clean and perfectly smooth!
Exactly as I imagined it, the pan I got was 9โ but light for cast iron. It had an incredible finish and I can already tell Iโm going to be using it everyday. The restoration job is amazing, it is way nicer than any cast iron pan Iโve seen to date, and I grew up with my family grew up using cast iron. Thank you for the effort it took to get such a smooth finish, Iโm sure it was a lot for how nice this is. What an incredible find!
