Very cool! Griswold was pretty straightforward with its skillets, griddles and dutch ovens, making it easy to spot era‘s and timelines for production. But for waffle irons, its a slightly different story. They had many variations of paddle logo‘s, paddle styles, base styles and more. This one is unique as it has the ghost markings of the early New American style paddles, but has the raised letters and number of the newer one. One side has very minimal markings and the other, full markings!
This antique 1910‘s era Griswold #8 Cast Waffle Iron (#976/ 977)) Low base 877, has been fully restored and seasoned and is ready to start making some amazing waffles! This waffle iron was found in Central PA where it was loved well. The base has the 877 markings, and the paddles the 976 and 977. The lettering is raised and very crisp, overall in wonderful condition. Shipping is of utmost importance so shipment comes insured and is carefully packed for the ride. No visible flaws, no pitting, no cracks
