This beautiful Vintage Griswold Large Block smooth bottom #9 skillet, was originally made with a duo-chrome plated finish. It moves on glass so it is not recommended for glass or induction. Best for gas or electric coil stoves. The exterior had a plated look to it, while the interior surface was black iron. We restored this and seasoned it, giving it a deep, gorgeous bronze look. Made by hand in the 1920's, we fully strip and restored it back to almost new with our mix of oils. The surface is smooth as can be, and will darken with each repeat seasoning. It sits flat and is a fantastic pan for daily use, and to show off in your gourmet kitchen. Being over a Century old, you will be very pleased with your purchase!

It’s pretty much exactly what I expected.
Not perfectly cut, but a repurposed old number seven Griswold pan turned into a perfect utensil for me to use on my grill.

This pan is fabulous. From the first egg, no sticking at all (as long as you don’t overheat the skillet first!) Near mint condition and beautifully restored. If you are looking for the perfect fried egg, you’ve found your vessel.This is my second griswold from these folks, and I will keep coming back as they do a really terrific job.
