This vintage Griswold #8 Cast Waffle Iron (#151N/151N) Tall Base #88) has been fully restored and seasoned and is ready to start making some amazing waffles! This waffle iron was found in Central PA where it was loved well. Now after full electrolysis and restoration using three rounds of our beef tallow seasoning, itβs ready for the next 100 years of use. The base has fully markings Griswold logos on the bottom and was originally finished with a black coating that was referred to as "japanning".Β We see these bases often and while they were luxuriously black when they were first made, they chip and peel over time.Β So we stripped it as clean as we could.Β There may be some areas of japanning here and there but it is all a part of its original charm and the next part of its story!Β
The Griswold logo on both paddles is crisp and in wonderful condition. Shipping is of utmost importance so shipment comes insured and is carefully packed for the ride. No visible flaws, no pitting, no cracks. Gorgeous piece.Β
