WOW. This is one you don‘t want to pass up, and will probably not last long on the site! This is just the second one we‘ve had in our possession and the first is hanging in our kitchen and used almost daily for everything! Super versatile and very light to work with, it is similar to the gate marked sad iron heaters often seen. In the early 1900‘s, prior to the name "Griswold" being fashioned on the most popular vintage cast iron cookware with the famous cross logo, they used the name Erie on all of their items. Some of the most sought after cast skillets were made by Griswold under the Erie name and were made prior to 1910. This version was made in the early 1900‘s, and features both the slant logo and the Erie brands.
This is a fantastic, light weight long griddle, perfect for grilled cheese or pancakes over the fire or in your gourmet kitchen. It isn‘t the widest griddle, but it can convert to a small fish fryer as well! It does NOT sit flat on a glass top because it was made for an open hole in a wood stove. While this isn‘t a skillet, it could affect performance on the stove if glass or induction. Ours isn‘t perfectly flat and we use it on our induction top. Its surface is slick and ready to use, being fully restored and seasoned three times with our oil blend. A fantastic piece to hang on your wall or display in your kitchen.

I have been a Griswold collector for 20 + years. Always looking for a piece to add to my cookware cast iron. I don’t hang my pieces I use them daily. I picked up two pieces of Griswold cast iron specifically for breakfast dishes for myself. Couldn’t be more pleased with the seasoning and quality of the pieces and how accurate the item descriptions were. Not to mention the prices were exceptional for the quality. After going back and forth between a brand new cast iron skillet and a vintage piece, I finally decided on a Wagner from Cast and Clara Bell. I love the skillet. It’s a beautiful piece. It shipped quickly and arrived packed so securely. I absolutely cannot wait to use it daily and have a quality piece I can hand down to my daughter someday. I will definitely be purchasing more.

I bought a number seven Griswold pan, when I received it, it was well packaged and in great condition.
I gave it an additional two seasonings with grapeseed oil, and this thing is better than a Teflon pan as far as nonstick goes. I have several cast-iron pans, and this one is my favorite. Thanks to the casting Clara team for doing great work. I added a number seven lead that I already had to it.

Absolutely beautiful piece. Restored to perfection. This is my new daily pan, better than my modern lodge! I ordered 3 different pans, and the packaging was perfect. Everything arrived safe and sound. Antique/vintage iron makes all the difference!! It's worth the investment. These pans will forever be a part of my kitchen, never going back to modern pans.
