The "Cabin Waffle Iron". This vintage Griswold #8 Cast Waffle Iron (#314 / 315 and High Base style 88) has been fully restored and seasoned. This one has EXCELLENT condition paddles and a base (88) that is great shape. It has been listed as Priced To Sell only because of a slightly oversized replacement eye bolt in one paddle. When we restore these paddles, we are very careful to only remove the coil and eye bolt handles if its beyond repair and needs replacement. The reason is that often the bolts are fused to the threading in the inner chamber of the paddle and when they are loosened, they can break off and permanently lodge in the threading. In a previous life, someone replaced one of the eye bolts and it is slightly longer than the spring handle, which makes it looser to the touch. This has not bearing on its purpose, which is to keep your hands cool when using. But since it is a feature different than the standard, we have reduced it down $50 for the repair. After full electrolysis and restoration using three rounds of our oil blend, itโs ready for the next 100 years of use. The paddles really are in pristine condition so you can feel confident that yours is ready to use!
