IMPORTANT:  After cleaning the skillet we discovered that somewhere in its life the upper edge of the skillet cracked or had a weakness in the pour (not likely but possible) creating a crack that only ran along the outer edge connecting the bottom to the side.  We have seen some repair jobs in our time and most of them are horrible and look like a 6th Grade science project.  But this one was done quite well.  Enough that whomever owned it before cooked in it enough to for it to have been completely covered in carbon.  

Its almost perfect except for the weld that was placed along the outside that is almost invisible on the inside.  It was such a good job that we essentially didn't see the repair until the last round of seasoning (Phil's eyes are getting bad....).  So we decided to continue this skillets' life and post it up at a great price at almost half price.  This would make for a fantastic stand in, for the beginner or for someone that wants a fantastic skillet for a great price.  

We use our Griswold 717 just about every weekend when its time to throw in a couple pounds of bacon for breakfast! Yes...with three boys we mean it when we say, "a couple". This pan is a fantastic, even cooking skillet for your gourmet kitchen. It‘s lightweight for its size, and is in impeccable condition. It sits flat on glass so perfect for all cook tops.  We just LOVE this size skillet and you will too. Fully restored its ready to use right out of the box. Don‘t pass this one up!
