"What makes a piece more expensive than the other?", is a question we get just as much as we are asked "can you really cook in these or not?". The Griswold products are the clear leader in vintage and antique cast iron cookware for demand, and some of the most prized pieces are the hammered finished pieces.
The finish is gorgeous on the outside and under the lid. Near MINT condition. It sits perfectly flat so its great for stove top and for the oven. The hinged lid is solid and firm when propped open, but it can be easily removed and put back in place.
We don‘t see these very often, let alone have one for sale. It‘s a gorgeous piece that will stand out and wow anyone joining you for dinner or at a social gathering.
