Condition & details

For those that are searching for a lightweight, personal sized stove eye griddle to add to their collection, consider this round standard size #9 griddle, complete with a gate mark and heat ring. This piece moves on glass which can be common for a griddle of this age!Β  It would work for all surfaces but best for gas or electric coil.Β  Gate marking is the term used in describing pieces that were cast prior to very early 1900, when gate mark casting became obsolete. This griddle has been restored and seasoned three times in beef tallow. Its hand finished swirls are beautiful considering its age and is a unique piece to either cook with or display in your gourmet kitchen.

DISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection. All pieces are vintage, and therefore are not in perfect condition. Their history of use means small marks and inconsistencies, including residual carbon, which we feel give them a special charm.
