This adorable #7 waffle iron (#973) made by Griswold was made in the early 1900's. The patent date is 1901. There's some reddish hue to it from the previous owner leaving it in a high heat (most likely campfire waffles) and some mold shifting on the base handle. The hinge is in the acorn style. Tough one to find!
