This hard-to-find #10 antique three- legged posnet style skillet has been restored and seasoned from having been found in a barn sale. Indicative of the pre-1900's change from bottom gate marks to the more modern side gate marks, the bottom has three legs and is marked with a large raised 10.
IMPORTANT: Many of these were used by being drug out of the hearth so they naturally wore down so the pot sat at an angle. This one is that way so it does not sit level naturally.
The flat pointy handle was more common in the early 1800's, prior to when holes were added to handles in more modern patterns. The finish on the pot is reflective of its age. Please see pictures as evidence of quality and craftsmanship. Truly a fine collector's piece!

It’s pretty much exactly what I expected.

This pan is fabulous. From the first egg, no sticking at all (as long as you don’t overheat the skillet first!) Near mint condition and beautifully restored. If you are looking for the perfect fried egg, you’ve found your vessel.This is my second griswold from these folks, and I will keep coming back as they do a really terrific job.
