By Wagner

This Wagner hammered long griddle from the 30's, came from a collection of a long time southern cast iron collector who had clearly used it on a wood stove. It has some sulfur pitting only on the bottom from being over the stove eye.Β  Griswold, Lodge, CHF and a few others made some hammered pieces, but the Wagner griddles are tough ones to find.Β  They weren't made long so there is a scarcity to finding one.Β  Being over 100 years old, we couldn't believe how well this griddle cleaned up. It has been stripped fully down before being seasoned three times. It sits flat and performs beautifully on the stove top. The Wagner foundry from Sidney Ohio made these griddles just after the turn of the century, and it's story can continue now with you!Β
