This antique hard to find Griswold #9 Cast Waffle Iron has been fully restored and seasoned and is ready to start making some amazing waffles! #9‘s are tough to find and especially in the shape this is in. This patent date of 1901 puts this early New American style #9 in the Erie years, which are very collectible skillets. Griswold had not yet adopted its large logo style patterns, and were making skillets using the Erie logo. This waffle iron has the raised letters which makes it really POP in its appearance. It has the original wood handles that were removed and coated with a high gloss black paint to refresh it. The base has been used and is not in pristine shape, but it is in very good shape! Look at the size of the paddles, this makes some serious plate sized waffles. After full electrolysis and restoration using three rounds of our organic beef tallow, it‘s ready for the next 100 years of use. Shipping is of utmost importance so shipment comes insured and is carefully packed for the ride.
