Griswold began its early years using the name Erie as its logo. They started very simply, often times with no marking on their items except for the Erie logo. Generally back in those days Erie made skillets, dutch ovens, bake ware, and waffle irons. The quality of those early pieces is just as good and as charming as the later cross logo years. The slant logo and large block logo were made in the early 1900s when the slant logo picked up following the shelving of the Erie logo.

This is an awesome griddle to have hanging in your kitchen as it tells the story of over 100 years ago when each piece was made by hand and for a very special customer. We love these to use in the kitchen to make quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, or to use to throw in the oven to heat up chicken nuggets or even grill hot dogs when it's too cold to go outside and grill. It sits flat and does not spin.
