This is priced to sell because it was used in a high heat environment (perhaps campfire) which caused a reddish hue and roughed up the surface. This is a wonderful campfire cooker, or a great pan for a new cook.
Griswold made one version of the chicken fryer for the small block logo era. The number 777 was made in a groove handle and flat handle style and can be fit with a number 8 small block skillet lid. It sits flat and is in wonderful shape. Perfect for deep-frying, for making soups, chilis, and larger batch meals. You have a number 8 lid or purchase a number 8 lid. It'll fit on both the chicken fryer and a regular number 8 skillet.
