This versatile square skillet was manufactured by Wagner under the Griswold name in the mid 19th Century. Wagner and Griswold produced some of the finest cast iron in America for many, many years, and when Griswold was purchased by Wagner, that trend continued. There were two sizes made in this series, the smaller #55 and this larger #57. This is a fantastic economical skillet that is a fine user for your kitchen. It has been restored and seasoned three times with our organic beef tallow. It does not sit flat and moves on glass so keep that in mind as its usable on all surfaces but best for gas and electric coil.

It’s pretty much exactly what I expected.
Not perfectly cut, but a repurposed old number seven Griswold pan turned into a perfect utensil for me to use on my grill.

This pan is fabulous. From the first egg, no sticking at all (as long as you don’t overheat the skillet first!) Near mint condition and beautifully restored. If you are looking for the perfect fried egg, you’ve found your vessel.This is my second griswold from these folks, and I will keep coming back as they do a really terrific job.
