Wagner made two very similar style skillets in the "Fish Fryer" and the "Deep Skillet" that are a VERY popular piece for the gourmet kitchen. The deep skillets were also made in marked and unmarked versions. This is the unmarked version but is known to be a Wagner with its distinct "bullet hole" handle.
The difference between the two is that this one, the deep skillet, has pour spouts and the fish fryer does not (typically). Made in the 1930βs, this set of skillet and lid are super versatile in that you can use it for a skillet, a fryer, a baking pan, or even a modified Dutch oven. You can fry up some tasty chicken, make youβre famous chili, and finish with a hearty cornbread and use the same skillet for it. Handy piece of history to have in your gourmet kitchen! It moves on glass so while its usable on all tops, its better for gas or coil. Fully restored, seasoned and ready to use!
