This piece is REALLY cool!Β  This 18th Century Gate Marked long griddle has been restored from WELL over a century of use, and is now back to life in fantastic working condition for you or as a gift for the home chef. The handles sit off the surface so they are easier to handle when over two burners. The bottom surface is in wonderful condition and sits flat enough to be used on any cooking surface. The depth of the griddle is about 1/2 inch so it is not suited for deep frying. Its often referred to as a fish fry, or sad iron heater, as is indicative of its function, but previous customers have told us they use them for conversation starting center pieces as well! Perfect for cooking bacon, pancakes, or other proteins. It has been stripped using a lye bath and electrolysis, and has been seasoned 3 times with our oil blend Ready to use!

DISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection. All pieces are vintage, and therefore are not in perfect condition. Their history of use means small marks and inconsistencies, including residual carbon, which we feel give them a special charm. All items are sold as is, and we have done our best to present them as such. Please review all pictures and ask for further clarification if needed. Thank you! - Cast & Clara Bell
