Hard to find in the Lodge Blob Series. 1930's Lodge #6 Cast Iron Skillet with 3 Notch Heat Ring. Raised Blob makers mark!
The BLOB is a reference to the raised oval blob at the 12 Oclock position. It typically has the number 2 stamped. It looks almost like a wax seal on an envelope and was used to track either the maker or a quality control. Trust us on this one, if you havenโt used a vintage Lodge (see back of pan heat ring for number of notches) you need to test one out. (testing not available, but you get what weโre saying...) When we have pan events and meet folks handling restored vintage cast iron, the most common reaction is to how better the quality is once they pick one up. This pan sits flat and does not spin. There are no cracks or damage apparent, but see pictures for proof. The pan has been restored via electrolysis and has been seasoned three times with our custom oil mix. Youโll love this!
DISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection. All pieces are vintage, and therefore are not in perfect condition. Their history of use means small marks and inconsistencies, including residual carbon, which we feel give them a special charm. All items are sold as is, and we have done our best to present them as such. Please review all pictures and ask for further clarification if needed. Thank you! - Cast & Clara Bell
