Rare find! 1890's Griswold's Erie #12 Bailed Round Cast Iron Diamond Logo Griddle. Very hard to find!
My goodness, this is one to have in your "show off" collection! Rare #12 Griswold's Erie round griddle with the diamond logo. Made only for a very brief period, this style has been seen in mostly round and long griddles. Any other piece besides those are even more unlikely to find. The diamond logo says "extra polished ware" and often has ghost marks of other patterns like you see here. This one was used on a wood stove which is customary for those days and had sulfur pitting from use. It is fully restored and will never be an issue. It's mark of its long history of use. Sits flat.
