These handmade hardwood chopsticks are built for more than the table. Designed larger than standard chopsticks, they are comfortable enough for eating and sturdy enough for cooking, stirring, plating, and serving. Each set is handmade from responsibly sourced salvaged wood and finished with a food safe oil blend for everyday kitchen use.
Choose between two natural wood variations: rich dark Black Walnut or light patterned Spalted Maple. Both woods bring their own character, grain, and color to the piece, making each set unique. The colored resin detail adds a small handmade accent without taking away from the natural beauty of the wood.
At approximately 11 3/8 inches long, these chopsticks offer extra reach and control compared with ordinary chopsticks. They are especially useful when cooking with cast iron, stir frying, serving noodles, plating vegetables, turning small foods, or simply enjoying a meal with a handmade kitchen tool that feels substantial in the hand.
This is not a mass produced kitchen accessory. Each pair is individually made by hand, so slight variations in grain, resin detail, color, taper, and dimension should be expected. Those small differences are part of what make each set unique.
Clean with water and mild soap, then dry immediately. Do not place in the dishwasher. Keep your chopsticks like new by regularly conditioning them with a food safe mineral oil such as Walrus Oil.
If you notice a little roughness on the wood surface, that is the natural product retaining and expelling moisture, which can raise the wood grain slightly. You can smooth it by lightly sanding with high grit sandpaper such as 600 to 1000 grit, then reapplying oil after sanding.
Husted Home creates functional art for everyday use. Each piece is handmade in small batches using responsibly sourced salvaged wood, with nearly all materials sourced locally from southeastern Pennsylvania. The goal is simple: create beautiful, practical kitchen tools that are meant to be used, enjoyed, and kept.
There is no mass production, automation, or factory line behind these pieces. Each set of chopsticks is shaped, finished, and handled by hand. That means every item carries its own grain pattern, color, resin detail, and character. These chopsticks are more than a kitchen tool. They are handmade functional art built for daily use.
Because each Husted Home product is handmade from natural salvaged wood, no two pieces will be exactly alike. Wood grain, color, dimensions, finish tone, resin detail, and small details may vary slightly from piece to piece. These natural variations are not defects. They are part of the character and beauty of handmade wooden kitchen tools.
Please review all photos carefully before purchasing. We do our best to represent each item accurately, but color and tone may vary slightly based on lighting, photography, screen settings, and the natural grain of the wood.
