Introducing Our Cast Iron Conditioning Balm!

Do you like the way your restored cast iron arrived when you first opened it (or when you could finally GET to it with Renee's signature packaging style?) We are excited to introduce our very own Cast Iron Conditioning Balm, a custom blend created specifically to support the long term care and appearance of cast iron cookware. This balm was developed through hands on use in our own kitchen and restoration process, with one clear goal in mind: to enhance and protect well seasoned cast iron without buildup or gimmicks.

Our conditioning balm is made from a simple, effective blend of organic beef tallow and natural beeswax. That's IT.Β  Nothing else is added.Β  Beef tallow has been used for generations to season and protect cast iron because of its heat stability and ability to bond well with iron. Beeswax adds structure and staying power, helping you add layers of time while creating a deep, rich luster on the surface of your cookware.

This balm is not meant to replace seasoning. Instead, it is designed to support healthy layering, protect against moisture, and keep your cast iron looking and performing its best between cooks. Used sparingly, it restores depth to the finish without leaving a greasy residue or sticky feel.

We use this same balm on our own pieces and on restored pans before they leave our shop. It is suitable for skillets, Dutch ovens, griddles, bakeware, and even cast iron utensils. Whether your cast iron lives on the stove or hangs on display, this balm helps preserve the work that has already gone into it.

How to Use Cast Iron Conditioning Balm

Apply a very small amount to clean, dry cast iron using a soft cloth or paper towel. Buff evenly until the surface looks VERY dry, not oily. For best results, warm the pan slightly to help the balm absorb fully. Use as needed to maintain sheen and protection.

Enjoy the cook.
