Where Can I Buy Griswold Cast Iron These Days??? (Spoiler: Right Here, Friends.)

This past month we had a very nice gentleman reach out to us asking us where he can get a Griswold heat ring #9 skillet BESIDES our website.  Odd at first to be asked that and some would be offended being asked to refer them to another place to buy one.  However we get this fairly often so it was par for the course.  We get it, he looked at our site and loved what he saw, but he didn't see the one he believed he wanted, and thus the question!

After we had a chance to talk we found that he wanted that one specifically because his Grandmom had that one growing up and he wanted to cook with one again.  So we did some digging and found one that was perfect for him and it is being restored now for shipment later this week.  Problem solved!  So we decided to blog about why we believe folks buy from us, AND also what we can do to help if you don't see what you are looking for.

So let's say you’re on the hunt for a Griswold skillet—because you heard they are "the best".  You can see our blogs on band types that speak to this, but we'll leave that for another time.  You can absolutely score one at a garage sale if you’re lucky, or spend your weekend elbow-deep in estate sales, flea markets, and dusty antique shops. And yes, the internet is also bursting at the seams with options: Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and eBay are all fair game. You might even get a thrilling deal from someone who thinks “restored” means a quick rinse with Dawn and a Brillo pad.  That's awesome...until you get it home and realize that it still has random generations of old beans stuck to it... kinda gross.

But if you’re not looking for a gamble, you don't feel like hunting on your weekends to only strike out, and you’d rather not spend your cash on a pan that smells like a forgotten garage, let us introduce ourselves. At Cast & Clara Bell, we don’t just sell vintage cast iron cookware—we restore, curate, and consult. We take time to learn about your cooking habits, your stove type, and how important things like collectability are to you. Are you a function-over-form kind of cook, or do you want the rarest of the rare hanging above your range? Either way, we’ve got you. We’ve walked thousands of customers through choosing their perfect pan—and we promise, it’s more than “does this one look cool to you?”

The difference? Our Griswold, Wagner, and other antique cast iron pans are restored professionally through electrolysis and seasoned only with organic beef tallow—no seed oils, no chemicals, no shortcuts. We’ve restored nearly every series ever made, and we’ve earned our reputation as a trusted source by delivering exactly what our customers are paying a restoration premium for: a skillet that’s ready to cook the minute you unwrap it. Not “ready” as in “some guy scrubbed it with soap and water and called it a day,” but actually ready—smooth, seasoned, safe, and beautiful.

So where can you buy a Griswold skillet? Honestly, anywhere these days. But if you're spending real money, don’t you want the real thing? Not just a pan tossed in a box with yesterday’s comics, but a fully-restored, hand-packed piece of culinary history shipped in new, clean, recyclable materials, with 100% satisfaction guaranteed? Whether you’re brand new to vintage iron or ready to grow your collection, we’re here to help. Not just a seller—your cast iron consultant.

I hope that helps at least put in perspective price vs. value.  Remember, you get what you pay for!
