This waffle iron is an amazing piece of cast iron history! We researched the infamous "Clows" waffle iron and found a varied explanation of its history. Some claim that its from the Clows flour company, some believe as a promotional piece from a waffle restaurant, made by Griswold. But all will agree, that this one is a tough one to find! It was in restored condition when we found it, but it has a slightly rougher finish than a traditional Griswold waffle iron. The raised lettering on the bottom is gorgeous. What a special piece to own!
