Wapak cast iron, made in Wapakonetta, OH, is most widely known by collectors as the foundry that made the "Indian" skillets. They were also known for using old patterns from other manufacturers like Griswold and making them their own. They had several iterations of their "Wapak" logo and this straight logo design is a favorite as well. Wapak griddles are slightly heavier than a Griswold or Wagner but they are amazing workers on the stove. Cooking with a Wapak gives even heating and it holds heat very well. There are marks and casting flaws as is the norm for Wapak griddles. It was also used in its early life over a wood stove so there is sulfur pitting that has been fully restored. Please see pictures for details. Sits flat!
