The Erie series by Griswold is one of the most coveted series' by collectors AND chefs. Made only until 1905, these beautiful early Griswold pieces are amazing to work with for not only the handle in the kitchen, but the history they represent. The item number for this griddle is 739 and it bears the Erie marking as well. This is a fantastic pan for daily use and to show off in your gourmet kitchen.
NOTE: This is a tale of two griddles, as the surface is amazing and smooth, but in a previous century, the griddles owner used it outside on a campfire or sulfur heavy heat source which caused the sulfur pitting. The price of the griddle has been changed to reflect this, so its a GREAT piece for camp or for general cooking! This griddle still has LOTS of love to give.
