IMPORTANT: This skillet is a wonderful one to own as a first skillet or to fill in for a collection. It has a hairline crack seen in pictures circled in yellow. We believe in preserving them as best as possible and we used this #9 in our cookware collection until we found a replacement. It was awesome on the stove and was recleaned after we were done using it. You will love it if you are looking for a HIGH quality pan at a wonderful price. the crack is on the side wall and will not affect cooking in the least. The crack held well for us so just be careful with it and it will last another 100 years.
1910‘s Vintage Griswold Large Block Slant #9 skillet, has been restored and seasoned for you. It is one of the oldest slant logos bearing only the ERIE name, rather than the later E.P.U. full marking. The surface is smooth as can be, and will darken with each repeat seasoning. It sits flat and is a fantastic pan for daily use, and to show off in your gourmet kitchen. Being over a century old, you will be very pleased with your purchase! It‘s original surface was nickel plated on the outside with a black iron inside. It has beautifully worn over 100 years and looks amazing. They are becoming increasingly popular because of the unique look to these plated pieces.
