Perfect for display AND use at Christmas, the mold is three dimensional and ready to form a delicious 3D cake. They were made in a few different styles (both aluminum and cast iron), with slight differences. They were originally made in the 1920‘s and continued up until the factory was sold off to Wagner. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Santa Mold is one of a few commonly reproduced Griswolds.  There are books highlighting the differences between a real and copy for the Santa mold, namely that the tongue is visible, that the lettering on the handle is crisp and even, and many of the authentic Santas had a tell tale pattern shift that looks like a crack on the bottom left.  This is an authentic mold.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe rarely get these to sell, and they usually do not last long!  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection.
