This skillet is priced to sell because of some pitting that happened in a previous life before we restored it. Sometimes water on an iron surface can cause surface rust and sometimes if exposed long enough, can develop pits from rust. We strip our skillets all the same way, which removes rust entirely. However the pitting cannot be restored. So you will see some cosmetic pitting here that has it priced to sell. The use of the skillet is 100% in tact and ready to go! Food will not stick because of pitting. Food sticking has to do with temperature of the skillet rather than any surface issues.
The classic vintage (soon to be antique!) Griswold's #8 Large Block Vintage Skillet, "704 G" is ready for you to add to your collection. It's smooth rounded bottom skillet replaced the previous vintage with heat rings. Any gourmet kitchen needs a set of Griswolds to make it complete and this pan is a perfect gift idea!
