IMPORTANT: This dutch is a fantastic piece for someone that wants a Griswold piece but doesn‘t mind it being imperfect. It does not sit flat, which, is very common and usual in the world of vintage cast iron dutch ovens. The founding foundries never envisioned that flat dutch ovens would be necessary because of the stoves of that time. PLUS, most dutch oven cooking/baking takes place IN the oven where flatness of the bottom is irrelevant. There is sporadic pitting from previous use outside but we have fully restored it back to life! Great dutch at a great price!
Griswold fans will want this dutch oven in their collection, and for the home chef, this is a must have piece for soups, stews, and slow roasting.
