Over the years, Griswold manufactured a number of style lids, but none (besides hinged lids, chicken fryer lids, etc...) were necessarily exclusive for a certain skillet. Of the most common sizes, the #8 is the most readily available. This #12 lid is a perfect compliment to most of the #12 Griswold skillets as it sits tight and does its job! There is a VERY small amount of roughness on the handle. Don't make the mistake of just getting your skillet without your lid! You'll need it in your gourmet kitchen.

RETURN POLICY ON LIDS: Due to the fact that we do not know what type of skillet you are trying to match, we cannot guarantee that this will fit your skillet in particular.

We do accept returns on skillet lids, however it must be within our return period and refund will be provided when returned without damage. If lid is unable to be resold because of damage, it will not be refunded. Buyer must pay for return shipping. The age of the skillet puts it just about in the antique range, and will continue to be appreciated (if taken care of properly) for the next 100 years. This version, with just the straight SIDNEY logo skillet is a prime example! This skillet was manufactured in the late 1890‘s to 1910‘s and was only made for a brief period as Wagner was tinkering with different logo designs. Deep walls and thicker bottom, it is reminiscent of the Montgomery Wards line that Wagner made.

Priced to Sell: This piece is priced to sell because at some point in time it was heated either at campfire or someplace where there was a high-heat element. As a result, it bows on the bottom side so it is strictly for gas ranges as it will move on any other surface. It's a wonderful pan to have out of the cabin to use daily as a workhorse but it is not in perfect shape with the movement and slightly reddish hue.
